M1903A4 rifles with Weaver and Alaskan scopes. Note there is a serious error in the manual. The upper scope is a Weaver 330 scope (click model with drums, not silent with tapered cones) and was later designated M73B1. The Lyman “Alaskan” scope was the M73. Those were soon modified with a rubber eyecup and front shade to become the M81 (cross-hairs) and M82 (tapered post). From US Army manual TM 9-2200 p. 17
