The HEAKES family has a very rare name and they came from England to North America in the 1800s. One son went to the Southern U.S.A. and dropped out of sight but has since been traced. The remainder came to the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area. Eventually most of them moved to British Columbia and are now scattered Ontario and British Columbia primarily.
